I have a blog that always get attacked by a cracker. Yeah, it is really suck things. All my data was lost and I don’t have any backup at all. However, after the first attack I learn something. I have regularly backup my database.
But, he’s continuing to attacking my site. I’m really don’t understand, why he only targeting my blog. Is he having any problem with me or with what I’m writing on it? The second attack is like the first. He deletes all my blog database and files. Luckily, I have backup and I can recover my site less than 10 minutes.
The last attack is by other person I though. He just changes my 404.php template. I don’t realize this change until something wrong happen and I found that my 404 files were changes. So, I decide to install Firewall Plugin. This plugin is really powerful. The attacker cannot do something to my blog. Well, I think I can sleep well now.
WordPress Firewall 2 is a plugin that build by Matthew Pavkov. If you want to secure your WordPress Blog, I suggest you to install this plugin as soon as possible. We never know when the cracker attacking our site. It is maybe not 100% secure, but it can make cracker doing hard work to exploit our blog. However, you have to always backup your blog. So, if something happens you don’t lose too much data as I do.
