WordPress is a flexible blog engine. You can see how your blog looks with a simple step. Today, there are thousand themes available for free. There is also paid theme with high quality look if you have some money and want to have exclusive blog look.
For you who are new in WordPress, I can tell you that changing WordPress themes is really easy job. Actually, you can do it from your dashboard window. There are two methods that you can choose. The first method is by choosing from WordPress themes database. The second one is download your dream theme and upload it to you blog. Both methods can be done directly from your dashboard panel. Okay, let’s get started.
First, login as admin to your blog and go to Appearance – Themes menu. Look at the top bar and select Install Themes. You have two options here. Search theme using a related term or select from feature filter. You can also click feature, recently update or newest theme from menu above.
If you already found your favorite theme, clicks install and themes will be moved to your blog. Clicks activate to activate the theme.
When you have a downloaded theme, you can use upload menu to upload that theme. The file must be in zip format containing all theme files include image that be used by theme. After upload the zip file, WordPress will extract it and installed for you. Clicks activate to activate that theme. Really simple isn’t?
To make you easy to choose theme, I suggest you to search it first using google. I usually use this keyword: “myblogtopic wordpress theme”. If I found theme that already added in WordPress theme database, I’m going to my dashboard and type the theme name in the search box. However, if the theme doesn’t added to the database, I will download it and upload it to my blog.
