In my opinion backup is the best solution to handle every problem with your blog. My blog ever get hacked by someone in past day. It really makes me realize that I must have backup for my blog. If you have backup, you can restore you blog anytime you want.

Backup is also needed when you try new plugin, theme or new WordPress version. Sometime, we got crash when upgrading to the new version. Backup files will save our blog very fast.

How to backup blog?

There are many way to backup your blog. You can use the backup facility in your CPanel. There is backup menu in it. You have two options backup. First, full backup that will backup all your files, database and email. You can do this once a month or each three month. The second option is database backup. You can use it each week or each three days if you doing a lot of update every day.

However, I have favorite plugin that always help me with backup. It is WP-DBManager. I can make sure this is the weapon that your blog must have. This plugin can backup your database each time you want. It also has built in restore. The database can also send by email. You can set it to backup every day, every week or several days.

All the setting is very easy. You will get notification if there is wrong with your setting. However, this plugin cannot work with some hosting. You can check in Backup menu to see if you’re hosting support with this plugin or not.
