WordPress 3.3 RC 1 Release

Finally, WordPress has launched the latest version of WordPress 3.3. Although currently still Release Candidate version, but it already indicates that the stable version will be coming soon.

Release Candidate version is already close to stable release. In this version the developer felt quite in a variety of improvements and is ready for launch. Even so, the developer needs a lot of input related to the stability of the new software.

For those of you plugin and theme developers, this is the time to test a plugin and theme if you already support the latest version of WordPress. If there is a problem with this new version, you can immediately make corrections and adjustments.

It’s time for the user also tested all the plugins and themes you use. If everything thing is functioning normally in the new version or a problem. If it finds a problem, you can contact the developer of the theme or plugin you use.

I have a blog that always get attacked by a cracker. Yeah, it is really suck things. All my data was lost and I don’t have any backup at all. However, after the first attack I learn something. I have regularly backup my database.

But, he’s continuing to attacking my site. I’m really don’t understand, why he only targeting my blog. Is he having any problem with me or with what I’m writing on it? How to Link to a Page

Since WordPress 3.1 we can simply link to other page or other post from the link button in our WordPress editor. The button symbol is like a chain picture. When you are click on it, then a pop up box will be appear contain the input box for URL. Make sure you select something to giving link on it before click the button.

In the link box, you can found “Or link to existing content” sentence. Click on it and you can found your posts list. You can simply click the page that you want to link from the list. You can also use the search feature if you have lot of post in your blog.

It is so easy and really fun. The SEO master often said that giving link to other page is good for SEO. It can make your article connected each other. How to Edit Theme

Sometime, we want to make some change to our theme. To changing the user interface sentence or maybe the blog style for example. WordPress give us ability to do that. You can edit all files in your theme folder directly from your WordPress dashboard.

Go to Appearance – editor menu. The default theme that you can edit is the active theme. If you want to edit other theme, you can choose from the drop down menu. Never forget to save change when you have been finish.

For some people, they cannot edit themes from the dashboard screen. It is because of the theme folder permission is not writable. Change the folder permission from your file manager or using your favorite FTP client software. If you want, you can also edit the theme file from file manager.
The location of theme folder is on /wp-content/themes. The entire theme that installed to your blog was put here.

WordPress themes use PHP language, so you have to learn and know about it before edit. I suggest you to backup your theme before make changes.

How to Login as Admin

After you install your WordPress blog, the next step is managing your blog. To do that, you have to login as admin to your blog. How to login as admin?

As default your membership permission is administrator, so you only have to login using username and password that you named when installing WordPress. Enter your username and password to the wp-login.php page. For example if your domain name is mydomainname.com then you have to login to this page:

http://mydomainname.com/wp-login.php

You can also click the login link in your blog sidebar. Usually you can find it below Meta box. When you already login, you can start manage your blog.

How to Install WordPress

There are many method How to Install WordPress. The easiest way is using autoinstall software like fantastico Cpanel. We are here in WordPress how to guide will help you to explain it.

When you have a hosting that use Cpanel as the hosting control panel, you will find the fantastico menu. Click the fantastico menu to begin install WordPress to your host.
